Drawing is something that I've been doing all my life. I started out what most people wouldn't when they're an artist: anywhere from cartoons anime or video game characters. I was a nerd and like to draw anime. But I realized that I could do so much more than just draw anime. So I started drawing my people more realistic. the more I started to make them look realistic the less it started to look like anime, It started to look like a real person. I really enjoyed it and wanted to make people look as realistic as possible. That's when I started thinking about realism as a concept for my art.
When I want to draw something or paint I usually go straight to Pinterest or Instagram and look at stuff to find a inspiration for something. Most of my ideas are not thought solely on my own. When I do have a idea for something I want it to look exactly like how I imagined it, if it doesn't look perfect then I’ll either not finish it, throw it away, or give it to someone else. Almost everything i have created is unfinished, but I’m working on finishing them. The materials I pick depend on what I’m doing. If I’m painting with watercolors I would usually paint flowers, animals, or sometimes people. If I’m using charcoal I would draw landscapes, buildings, photographs, people. Using charcoal is better than using a regular pencil for me because it doesn't get that grey and metallic look. I don’t know what I do as far as techniques go, but I do like to stick to hyperrealistic stuff and pay attention to detail. when I use charcoal I like to use blending tools so I get a soft, smooth look to my piece. I don’t have a “theme” in my art. I trying to make every piece different from the next.
There's always room for improvement, something that I need to improve is drawing buildings from different perspectives, that's something that I don't usually do and that I stray away from when it comes to art. I could practice this by making comics. something that has been seeing a lot and that I've been quite interested in are webcomics. If you don't know what that is it's kind of self-explanatory- basically Comics you can read on the internet. but these Comics ordinary people make and have wonderful stories with so much potential that you can't even believe that just a small community knows about them. the wonderful thing about webcomics is that it's art that just keeps coming and the story keeps unfolding, until there's one last page to read and after that you don't know what else to do with your life. I considered making it I have really good ideas that I'd like to share with the world. but most of my ideas I come up with from my dreams. I know that might sound weird but they are really good ideas. but the problem with me starting a webcomic and that I'd have to do minimally one panel every week, and I just don't have the time for that. and another thing, I also don't have the high tech drawing tablets that these people use to create these amazing panels.
What I’m working on right now is realism, mostly in people, animals, and plants/flowers. but i’d like for my art to have more feeling in it. When I was 15 I worked on mostly watercolors, but 2016 I practiced with details in the human face and body. When I was in 5th and 6th grade I started realizing my talent-others did too, especially teachers who thought that I had years of lessons from pros. But truth was I had know idea what I had until a professional artist had explained it to me. I did research and it told me “that artists had increased neural matter in areas relating to fine motor movements and visual imagery.” This is why I can self teach, or pick up something easily just by observing others. This is not just seen in art, I use this ability when playing the piano or guitar, In sports such as volleyball and football, singing, and dancing, though these are some form of “art” anything is art if you created it.
